Places to stay
Bloomington Indiana is approximately 45 minutes south of the Dave and Kathy Pierce residence in Morgantown Indiana. It is 1:20 south of the Chad Delbridge / Melissa Pierce residence in Indianapolis.
With these points of reference in mind, several options are available.
There are many places to stay in Bloominton Indiana. The only conflict with staying in Bloomington is the IU football game at home. Unfortunately, this causes all of the hotels / motels to jack up their prices. The cheapest rates that we have found are approximately 145.00 per night. Any rooms in the Bloomington area should probably booked soon as I am sure that the prices will only get more expensive as time goes by.
Another option would be to stay at Eagle Pointe Resort. This is actually a gated community that has direct access to the golf course and Lake Monroe. The resort has many condos that range from 1 - 6 bedrooms. A one bedroom condo will run about 130.00 per night. A 6 bedroom condo will run around 750.00 per night. A 10% discount is available to all guests of the wedding for both golf and / or the rental of a condo. This place is very nice with large space and very comfortable furnishings.
Another unique location to stay the night would be in the quaint little village of Nashville Indiana. This area is full of small antique shops, candle makers, diners, bed and breakfasts, theater facilities and crafts galore!!! We do not have specific information about any particular places to stay, but if anyone is interested, we would be glad to get more information about them.
Columbus and Edenburg are two cities located off of Interstate 65 with relatively easy access to Bloomington. Both cities have many hotels / motels to choose from.
Martinsville is directly north of Bloomington on Highway 37. If you are planning on staying in the area for several days, this might be a good area to stay if you want to be centrally located between Bloomington and the Pierce household. We have blocked off several rooms at the Holiday Inn Express for both the wedding and rehearsal nights. Prices for these rooms have not been quoted, but we are expecting them to be around 85.00 per night.
